How to add testimonials to your website
A practical guide: how to ask for testimonials, get permission, and show them on your site without retyping quotes.
Create your free wall See an example wallStep 1: Ask at the right moment
Ask right after a win: a delivered project, a finished session, a happy email. Keep it short: "Would you share a sentence or two about working with us? It takes a minute."
Step 2: Make it effortless
Send one link, not a long survey. Ask what changed for them and who they'd recommend you to. Name and title make a testimonial far more credible.
Step 3: Get permission
Only publish testimonials people agreed to share, and keep a note of who agreed. ApplauseWall's collection form won't submit until the customer ticks a box agreeing that you may display their testimonial publicly.
Step 4: Put them where decisions happen
Show them on the homepage, on pricing or service pages, and next to your contact or quote form. A carousel suits busy pages; a full wall makes a good dedicated page.
Step 5: Add them to your site
By hand
Copy quotes into your page builder. It's free, but you have to update it yourself every time.
With an embed
Paste one script tag once. New approved testimonials show up automatically.
Where to paste it
WordPress: a Custom HTML block. Squarespace: a Code block. Webflow: an Embed element. Shopify: a Custom Liquid section. Plain HTML: anywhere in the body.
How it works
1. Share one link
Each space gets a collection page. Customers leave a star rating, a few words, and their name and title, then confirm consent.
2. Approve what's public
Nothing shows until you approve it. Fix typos, hide or delete at any time.
3. Embed anywhere
Paste one script tag on Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace or plain HTML. Choose a wall, carousel or badge, in light or dark.
